London Fashion Week

The only beauty company showing at London Fashion Week
Jorj and I never thought
we’d show at LFW, so when the opportunity presented itself we were really
surprised to be asked. We were invited
to show at The Lingerie Boudoir room in Somerset House to give the
buyers and press attending the 25th anniversary of the event the ultimate
boudoir experience.
We have never done anything quite like this so we were really apprehensive
of how to proceed. The organizers of LFW were really supportive all the way
from start to finish, making sure we were well informed, felt welcome and
integrated. Igor the organizer for the
Lingerie Boudoir room and Lingerie Designer, even wrote our press release… I
never new people were this helpful and friendly in the fashion world!
On the first day we were rather nervous, we had no idea how we were going to
be perceived by the press and buyers, after all we are not a fashion brand. We
needed not to worry, as soon as the doors opened our stand rarely had a quiet
moment.
In order for me not to make any fashion mistakes, Sarah Arnett dressed me and my assistant
Lisa. Everyday we wore their beautiful
silk dresses… and everyday we were asked who dressed us. It really was an
astounding success, there was so much fashion going on around us and the press
and buyers were approaching us to ask us about our dresses!!! I have totally fallen in love with Sarah
Arnett’s designs and could very well spend the rest of my days wearing nothing
else.
We ran a perfume competition to find the best ‘nose’ at LFW. People had a
chance to browse through 85 organic essential oils and choose 3 to make a
perfume. The fact that we had such an impressive panel of judges and a winning
prize of a bespoke perfume worth over £1’000, made this competition very
popular. Read our news on our perfume competition of find out the winner.
Jorj and I really loved being at LFW. We met so many interesting people and
it really has done wonders for our brand. As for the fashion… really not a good idea to go to LFW if you
don’t have a few platinum credits cards ready to spend on!
